It may happen that Bugzilla will tell you that bugs_fulltext table is corrupted when you try to submit new comment to the database. I was trying to find a solution to this problem and finished up with pretty straightforward fix.
MAKE A BACKUP OF THE DATABASE! I’M NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DATA LOSS!
Log on to your box hosting Bugzilla (I assume you’re using Linux for that), go to MySQL command line with following command:
mysql -u root -p
Now move to the “bugs” database (if this is the name of the database you’ve created during Bugzilla installation). You can do this with the command:
As the last step execute the table repair process with following command:
repair table bugs_fulltext;
The command will output with something similar to following lines:
+——————–+——–+———-+———-+ | Table | Op | Msg_type | Msg_text | +——————–+——–+———-+———-+ | bugs.bugs_fulltext | repair | status | OK | +——————–+——–+———-+———-+ 1 row in set (0.00 sec)
And you’re done! Now try to add the comment to some bug logged in Bugzilla!
